XLF, RFV: Big ETF Outflows Monday, December 30, 11:49 AM ET
Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF), where 46,400,000 units were destroyed, or a 5.4% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLF, in morning trading today Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.B) is down about 0.4%, and JP Morgan Chase (JPM) is lower by about 0.2%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the Invesco S&P MidCap 400 Pure Value ETF (RFV), which lost 1,050,000 of its units, representing a 31.3% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of RFV, in morning trading today Chesapeake Energy (CHK) is off about 1.5%, and Resideo Technologies (REZI) is up by about 0.1%.
