Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned cash to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Wednesday, Transcontinental Realty Investors' President, Daniel J. Moos, made a $999,950 purchase of TCI, buying 35,000 shares at a cost of $28.57 each. Bargain hunters are able to grab TCI even cheaper than Moos did, with the stock changing hands as low as $28.04 at last check today which is 1.9% under Moos's purchase price. Transcontinental Realty Investors is trading up about 1.5% on the day Friday.
And at DENTSPLY SIRONA, there was insider buying on Thursday, by Director Gregory T. Lucier who purchased 10,000 shares for a cost of $53.60 each, for a total investment of $536,047. This buy marks the first one filed by Lucier in the past twelve months. DENTSPLY SIRONA is trading up about 0.1% on the day Friday. Lucier was up about 1.3% on the buy at the high point of today's trading session, with XRAY trading as high as $54.32 at last check today.
