Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned cash to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Monday, Tradeweb Markets's Chief Administrative Officer, Scott Zucker, made a $108,000 purchase of TW, buying 4,000 shares at a cost of $27.00 a piece. Zucker was up about 45.9% on the buy at the high point of today's trading session, with TW trading as high as $39.40 at last check today. Tradeweb Markets is trading off about 0.7% on the day Tuesday. This purchase marks the first one filed by Zucker in the past twelve months.
And on Friday, Director William C. Warden Jr. bought $85,502 worth of Bassett Furniture Industries, buying 5,000 shares at a cost of $17.10 a piece. Bassett Furniture Industries, Inc is trading up about 0.7% on the day Tuesday. So far Warden Jr. is in the green, up about 6.8% on their purchase based on today's trading high of $18.26.
