Friday 3/15 Insider Buying Report: FOX, ATVI Friday, March 15, 10:31 AM ET
As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy — they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Thursday, Twenty-First Century Fox (FOX)'s Executive Chairman, Lachlan K. Murdoch, made a $16.2M buy of FOX, purchasing 316,317 shares at a cost of $51.20 a piece. Murdoch was up about 1.0% on the buy at the high point of today's trading session, with FOX trading as high as $51.72 at last check today. Twenty-First Century Fox is trading up about 0.7% on the day Friday. Before this latest buy, Murdoch made one other purchase in the past twelve months, buying $6.27M shares at a cost of $45.48 each.
And on Tuesday, Director Peter J. Nolan purchased $4.3M worth of Activision Blizzard (ATVI), purchasing 100,000 shares at a cost of $42.95 a piece. Activision Blizzard is trading up about 3.1% on the day Friday. So far Nolan is in the green, up about 5.0% on their purchase based on today's trading high of $45.11.
