Friday Sector Leaders: Oil & Gas Exploration & Production, Cigarettes & Tobacco Stocks

In trading on Friday, oil & gas exploration & production shares were relative leaders, up on the day by about 1.8%. Leading the group were shares of Chaparral Energy (CHAP), up about 8% and shares of Ultra Petroleum (UPL) up about 4.9% on the day.

Also showing relative strength are cigarettes & tobacco shares, up on the day by about 1.6% as a group, led by Pyxus International (PYX), trading higher by about 6.7% and Universal Corp (UVV), trading higher by about 1.7% on Friday.
