IWM, PMR: Big ETF Outflows Wednesday, January 23, 11:04 AM ET
Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM), where 11,700,000 units were destroyed, or a 4.0% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of IWM, in morning trading today Etsy (ETSY) is up about 2.5%, and Five Below (FIVE) is up by about 1.4%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the Invesco Dynamic Retail ETF (PMR), which lost 100,000 of its units, representing a 33.3% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of PMR, in morning trading today Ross Stores (ROST) is down about 0.1%, and Dollar General Corporation (DG) is higher by about 1.3%.
