Thursday 12/27 Insider Buying Report: NCS, KLXE Thursday, December 27, 10:33 AM ET
As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy — they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
At NCI Building Systems (NCS), a filing with the SEC revealed that on Monday, CEO James S. Metcalf purchased 100,000 shares of NCS, at a cost of $7.09 each, for a total investment of $709,000. NCI Building Systems is trading down about 1.5% on the day Thursday.
And at KLX Energy Services Holdings (KLXE), there was insider buying on Monday, by VP and General Manager Gary J. Roberts who purchased 21,421 shares at a cost of $21.92 each, for a trade totaling $469,548. Before this latest buy, Roberts purchased KLXE at 2 other times during the past year, for a total cost of $3.18M at an average of $29.82 per share. KLX Energy Services Holdings is trading up about 0.5% on the day Thursday. So far Roberts is in the green, up about 24.6% on their buy based on today's trading high of $27.31.
