Tuesday 9/25 Insider Buying Report: UNVR, CRMT Tuesday, September 25, 10:53 AM ET
Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned dollars to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Monday, Univar (UNVR)'s Director, Kerry J. Preete, made a $249,476 buy of UNVR, purchasing 8,250 shares at a cost of $30.24 a piece. Preete was up about 2.3% on the purchase at the high point of today's trading session, with UNVR trading as high as $30.95 at last check today. Univar is trading up about 0.5% on the day Tuesday.
And at America's Car-Mart (CRMT), there was insider buying on Friday, by Director Ray C. Dillon who purchased 1,000 shares for a cost of $80.45 each, for a total investment of $80,450. Before this latest buy, Dillon made one other buy in the past twelve months, purchasing $62,558 shares for a cost of $83.41 each. America's Car-Mart is trading up about 0.4% on the day Tuesday. Investors can snag CRMT even cheaper than Dillon did, with the stock trading as low as $79.40 at last check today which is 1.3% below Dillon's purchase price.
