Wednesday 6/20 Insider Buying Report: CRM, DLTR Wednesday, June 20, 10:36 AM ET
As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy — they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Tuesday, Salesforce.com (CRM)'s Director, Susan Wojcicki, made a $828,646 purchase of CRM, buying 6,000 shares at a cost of $138.11 a piece. Wojcicki was up about 2.9% on the buy at the high point of today's trading session, with CRM trading as high as $142.12 in trading on Wednesday. Salesforce.com is trading up about 1.4% on the day Wednesday. Before this latest buy, Wojcicki purchased CRM at 5 other times during the past year, for a total cost of $3.63M at an average of $121.14 per share.
And on Monday, Director Thomas E. Whiddon bought $199,755 worth of Dollar Tree (DLTR), buying 2,250 shares at a cost of $88.78 each. Dollar Tree is trading off about 1% on the day Wednesday. Bargain hunters are able to bag DLTR even cheaper than Whiddon did, with shares changing hands as low as $85.93 at last check today — that's 3.2% under Whiddon's purchase price.
