Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned cash to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Monday, GrafTech International's Director, Brian L. Acton, made a $75,000 purchase of EAF, buying 5,000 shares at a cost of $15.00 a piece. Acton was up about 4.9% on the purchase at the high point of today's trading session, with EAF trading as high as $15.73 in trading on Wednesday. GrafTech International is trading off about 0.6% on the day Wednesday. This purchase marks the first one filed by Acton in the past twelve months.
And also on Monday, Director James M. Bollerman bought $48,581 worth of Two River Bancorp, buying 2,855 shares at a cost of $17.02 each. Two River Bancorp is trading down about 0.2% on the day Wednesday. Bollerman was up about 2.1% on the purchase at the high point of today's trading session, with TRCB trading as high as $17.37 at last check today.
