Thursday 2/15 Insider Buying Report: CSS, HOLX Thursday, February 15, 10:35 AM ET
Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned cash to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
At CSS Industries (CSS), a filing with the SEC revealed that on Monday, Director Rebecca C. Matthias bought 20,100 shares of CSS, at a cost of $20.95 each, for a total investment of $421,017. Bargain hunters can grab CSS at a price even lower than Matthias did, with the stock trading as low as $19.04 in trading on Thursday which is 9.1% under Matthias's purchase price. CSS Industries is trading up about 2% on the day Thursday.
And at Hologic (HOLX), there was insider buying on Tuesday, by Director Namal Nawana who purchased 6,600 shares at a cost of $37.88 each, for a trade totaling $250,023.
