Tuesday 8/1 Insider Buying Report: CCI, FIX Tuesday, August 1, 10:59 AM ET
Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned dollars to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Friday, Crown Castle International (CCI)'s Director, J. Landis Martin, made a $3.02M purchase of CCI, buying 30,000 shares at a cost of $100.64 each. Crown Castle International is trading up about 0.2% on the day Tuesday.
And at Comfort Systems USA (FIX), there was insider buying on Monday, by Director Franklin Myers who purchased 5,482 shares at a cost of $33.58 each, for a trade totaling $184,086. Before this latest buy, Myers purchased FIX at 7 other times during the past year, for a total investment of $660,050 at an average of $32.20 per share. Comfort Systems USA is trading up about 1.6% on the day Tuesday. So far Myers is in the green, up about 1.8% on their buy based on today's trading high of $34.20.
