Wednesday 7/19 Insider Buying Report: ALDR, EVLV Wednesday, July 19, 10:33 AM ET
Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned dollars to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Tuesday, Alder Biopharmaceuticals (ALDR)'s Director, Wendy L. Yarno, made a $50,000 buy of ALDR, purchasing 5,000 shares at a cost of $10.00 each. So far Yarno is in the green, up about 20.0% on their purchase based on today's trading high of $12.00. Alder Biopharmaceuticals is trading up about 2.8% on the day Wednesday. This buy marks the first one filed by Yarno in the past year.
And on Friday, Director Mark Holdsworth purchased $49,685 worth of EVINE Live (EVLV), purchasing 50,000 shares at a cost of $0.99 a piece. Before this latest buy, Holdsworth made one other buy in the past twelve months, purchasing $100,001 shares at a cost of $1.15 a piece. EVINE Live is trading up about 1.9% on the day Wednesday. So far Holdsworth is in the green, up about 6.7% on their purchase based on today's trading high of $1.06.
