IWM, SVXY: Big ETF Outflows Tuesday, July 25, 10:47 AM ET
Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM), where 16,850,000 units were destroyed, or a 6.5% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of IWM, in morning trading today Kite Pharma (KITE) is up about 0.7%, and Gramercy Property Trust (GPT) is lower by about 0.3%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the ProShares Short VIX Short-Term Futures ETF (SVXY), which lost 2,150,000 of its units, representing a 31.6% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior.
