Monday 5/8 Insider Buying Report: ECL, WFC Monday, May 8, 10:32 AM ET
Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned cash to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Friday, Ecolab (ECL)'s Director, Carl M. Casale, made a $631,655 buy of ECL, purchasing 5,000 shares at a cost of $126.33 a piece. Ecolab is trading trading flat on the day Monday.
And at Wells Fargo & Co. (WFC), there was insider buying on Friday, by Director Ronald Sargent who bought 9,050 shares for a cost of $55.15 each, for a trade totaling $499,108. This purchase marks the first one filed by Sargent in the past year. Wells Fargo & Co. is trading trading flat on the day Monday.
