Friday 4/28 Insider Buying Report: ADX, WTFC Friday, April 28, 10:34 AM ET
As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
At Adams Diversified Equity Fund (ADX), a filing with the SEC revealed that on Thursday, CEO Mark E. Stoeckle purchased 23,000 shares of ADX, at a cost of $14.04 each, for a total investment of $322,862. So far Stoeckle is in the green, up about 0.4% on their purchase based on today's trading high of $14.09. Adams Diversified Equity Fund is trading up about 0.1% on the day Friday.
And on Tuesday, Director Gary D. Sweeney bought $37,497 worth of Wintrust Financial (WTFC), buying 515 shares at a cost of $72.81 each. This purchase marks the first one filed by Sweeney in the past year. Wintrust Financial Corp. is trading up about 0.2% on the day Friday. Investors can grab WTFC at a price even lower than Sweeney did, with the stock changing hands as low as $71.74 at last check today -- that's 1.5% under Sweeney's purchase price.
