Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned dollars to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.

On Friday, Coty's Chief Human Resources Officer, Sebastien Froidefond, made a $597,550 purchase of COTY, buying 32,300 shares at a cost of $18.50 a piece. So far Froidefond is in the green, up about 2.4% on their buy based on today's trading high of $18.94. Coty, is trading off about 0.2% on the day Wednesday. This buy marks the first one filed by Froidefond in the past year.

And at Tier REIT, there was insider buying on Tuesday, by Director R. Kent Griffin Jr. who purchased 27,500 shares for a cost of $18.25 each, for a total investment of $501,800. This purchase marks the first one filed by Griffin Jr. in the past year. Tier REIT is trading down about 3% on the day Wednesday.
