Wednesday 3/22 Insider Buying Report: VIVE, FI Wednesday, March 22, 10:37 AM ET
As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
At Viveve Medical (VIVE), a filing with the SEC revealed that on Friday, Director Daniel Janney purchased 500,000 shares of VIVE, at a cost of $4.00 each, for a total investment of $2M. So far Janney is in the green, up about 27.0% on their purchase based on today's trading high of $5.08. Viveve Medical is trading down about 1.8% on the day Wednesday.
And at Frank's International (FI), there was insider buying on Monday, by Gregory Stanton Mosing who purchased 20,000 shares at a cost of $10.06 each, for a trade totaling $201,200. Frank's International is trading down about 1.2% on the day Wednesday. Investors have the opportunity to grab FI at a price even lower than Mosing did, with shares trading as low as $9.77 in trading on Wednesday -- that's 2.9% under Mosing's purchase price.
