IWM, PMR: Big ETF Outflows Friday, March 10, 10:49 AM ET
Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM), where 3,600,000 units were destroyed, or a 1.3% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of IWM, in morning trading today Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is up about 1.7%, and The Chemours Company (CC) is lower by about 0.2%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the PowerShares Dynamic Retail Portfolio (PMR), which lost 200,000 of its units, representing a 33.3% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of PMR, in morning trading today Home Depot (HD) is up about 0.5%, and Best Buy (BBY) is up by about 0.6%.
