XBI, UGE: Big ETF Outflows Tuesday, February 14, 10:48 AM ET
Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the XBI: SPDR S&P Biotech ETF, US Equities (XBI), where 1,800,000 units were destroyed, or a 4.2% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XBI, in morning trading today Ariad Pharmaceuticals (ARIA) is trading flat, and Clovis Oncology (CLVS) is higher by about 0.3%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the ProShares Ultra Consumer Goods (UGE), which lost 50,000 of its units, representing a 14.3% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of UGE, in morning trading today Procter & Gamble Company (PG) is off about 0.8%, and Coca-Cola Company (KO) is lower by about 0.3%.
