Wednesday 2/8 Insider Buying Report: MUSA, D Wednesday, February 8, 10:31 AM ET
As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Tuesday, Murphy USA (MUSA)'s Director, Claiborne P. Deming, made a $980,920 purchase of MUSA, buying 15,000 shares at a cost of $65.39 a piece. Murphy USA is trading up about 2.4% on the day Wednesday. This buy marks the first one filed by Deming in the past twelve months.
And on Friday, Director Michael E. Szymanczyk bought $716,940 worth of Dominion Resources (D), buying 10,000 shares at a cost of $71.69 each. This purchase marks the first one filed by Szymanczyk in the past year. Dominion Resources is trading up about 1.1% on the day Wednesday. So far Szymanczyk is in the green, up about 2.2% on their buy based on today's trading high of $73.27.
