Gilead Sciences (GILD) declared an increase of 10% in the company's quarterly cash dividend, beginning in the first quarter of 2017. The dividend increase will result in a quarterly dividend of $0.52 per share of common stock. The dividend is payable on March 30, 2017, to stockholders of record at the close of business on March 16, 2017.

Alaska Air Group (ALK) declared a 9% increase in the quarterly dividend, from $0.275 per share to $0.30 per share. This is the fourth time the company has raised the dividend since initiating the quarterly dividend in July 2013, with a cumulative increase of 200% since that time.
