Tuesday 1/31 Insider Buying Report: JAG, HBAN Tuesday, January 31, 10:39 AM ET
As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
At Jagged Peak Energy (JAG), a filing with the SEC revealed that on Friday, Director Roger L. Jarvis purchased 10,000 shares of JAG, for a cost of $14.15 each, for a total investment of $141,500. Jarvis was up about 4.1% on the buy at the high point of today's trading session, with JAG trading as high as $14.73 in trading on Tuesday. Jagged Peak Energy is trading down about 0.8% on the day Tuesday.
And also on Friday, Director Ann B. Crane purchased $23,543 worth of Huntington Bancshares (HBAN), purchasing 2,326 shares at a cost of $10.12 a piece. This purchase marks the first one filed by Crane in the past twelve months. Huntington Bancshares is trading off about 1.4% on the day Tuesday. Crane was up about 35.2% on the purchase at the high point of today's trading session, with HBAN trading as high as $13.68 at last check today.
