Tuesday 1/24 Insider Buying Report: MCC, HRTX Tuesday, January 24, 10:37 AM ET
As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Monday, Medley Capital Corporation (MCC)'s Director, Seth Taube, made a $499,345 purchase of MCC, buying 66,585 shares at a cost of $7.50 each. So far Taube is in the green, up about 2.4% on their purchase based on today's trading high of $7.68. Medley Capital Corporation is trading up about 2% on the day Tuesday. Before this latest buy, Taube purchased MCC at 17 other times during the past year, for a total investment of $17.45M at an average of $7.38 per share.
And on Thursday, Director John Poyhonen purchased $122,000 worth of Heron Therapeutics (HRTX), purchasing 10,000 shares at a cost of $12.20 each. This buy marks the first one filed by Poyhonen in the past year. Heron Therapeutics is trading off about 1.2% on the day Tuesday. So far Poyhonen is in the green, up about 6.1% on their purchase based on today's trading high of $12.95.
