SPY, SPHB: Big ETF Inflows Thursday, January 5, 10:46 AM ET
Comparing units outstanding versus one week ago at the coverage universe of ETFs at ETF Channel, the biggest inflow was seen in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY), which added 18,900,000 units, or a 1.9% increase week over week. Among the largest underlying components of SPY, in morning trading today Apple (AAPL) is up about 0.5%, and Microsoft (MSFT) is up by about 0.1%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest increase in inflows was the PowerShares S&P 500 High Beta Portfolio (SPHB), which added 5,250,000 units, for a 33.7% increase in outstanding units. Among the largest underlying components of SPHB, in morning trading today Affiliated Managers Group (AMG) is up about 0.3%, and Lincoln National Corporation (LNC) is lower by about 0.7%.
