Thursday 12/8 Insider Buying Report: SITE, CRM Thursday, December 8, 10:31 AM ET
Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned dollars to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Tuesday, SiteOne Landscape Supply (SITE)'s CEO, Doug Black, made a $492,000 purchase of SITE, buying 15,000 shares at a cost of $32.80 a piece. So far Black is in the green, up about 2.7% on their buy based on today's trading high of $33.70. SiteOne Landscape Supply is trading up about 0.4% on the day Thursday. Before this latest buy, Black made one other buy in the past twelve months, purchasing $945,000 shares at a cost of $21.00 each.
And at Salesforce.com (CRM), there was insider buying on Monday, by Director Susan Wojcicki who purchased 1,443 shares at a cost of $69.29 each, for a trade totaling $99,987. Before this latest buy, Wojcicki bought CRM at 3 other times during the past year, for a total cost of $299,878 at an average of $73.88 per share. Salesforce.com is trading down about 0.1% on the day Thursday. So far Wojcicki is in the green, up about 3.5% on their purchase based on today's trading high of $71.73.
