Monday 12/5 Insider Buying Report: AMH, PJT Monday, December 5, 10:34 AM ET
As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Thursday, American Homes 4 Rent (AMH)'s Director, Tamara Hughes Gustavson, made a $3.33M purchase of AMH, buying 162,400 shares at a cost of $20.52 a piece. So far Gustavson is in the green, up about 3.0% on their buy based on today's trading high of $21.14. American Homes 4 Rent is trading up about 1.2% on the day Monday. Before this latest buy, Gustavson made one other buy in the past twelve months, purchasing $1.66M shares for a cost of $20.55 each.
And on Friday, CEO Paul J. Taubman bought $733,391 worth of PJT Partners Incorporated (PJT), buying 25,000 shares at a cost of $29.34 each. Before this latest buy, Taubman bought PJT at 5 other times during the past twelve months, for a total investment of $2.88M at an average of $24.90 per share. PJT Partners Incorporated is trading up about 3.1% on the day Monday. Taubman was up about 2.5% on the purchase at the high point of today's trading session, with PJT trading as high as $30.07 at last check today.
