Thursday 11/3 Insider Buying Report: NUVA, NMFC Thursday, November 3, 10:34 AM ET
As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Wednesday, Nuvasive (NUVA)'s Director, Patrick Miles, made a $1.00M buy of NUVA, purchasing 16,967 shares at a cost of $58.97 each. Bargain hunters can snag NUVA even cheaper than Miles did, with shares changing hands as low as $57.47 in trading on Thursday -- that's 2.5% below Miles's purchase price. Nuvasive is trading up about 3.2% on the day Thursday.
And on Monday, CEO and Director Robert Hamwee bought $333,311 worth of New Mountain Finance Corp (NMFC), buying 25,000 shares at a cost of $13.33 each. Before this latest buy, Hamwee made one other buy in the past year, purchasing $308,725 shares at a cost of $12.35 each. New Mountain Finance Corp is trading down about 1.9% on the day Thursday.
