Wednesday 10/26 Insider Buying Report: NKTR, JNJ Wednesday, October 26, 10:35 AM ET
Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned dollars to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Monday, Nektar Therapeutics (NKTR)'s Director, R. Scott Greer, made a $202,500 purchase of NKTR, buying 15,000 shares at a cost of $13.50 each. Investors have the opportunity to bag NKTR at a price even lower than Greer did, with shares changing hands as low as $12.87 at last check today which is 4.7% under Greer's purchase price. Nektar Therapeutics is trading up about 1.7% on the day Wednesday. This buy marks the first one filed by Greer in the past year.
And at Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), there was insider buying on Friday, by Director Charles Prince who purchased 875 shares at a cost of $114.11 each, for a total investment of $99,846. This purchase marks the first one filed by Prince in the past twelve months. Johnson & Johnson is trading up about 0.7% on the day Wednesday.
