USMV, FXZ: Big ETF Outflows Monday, October 10, 10:49 AM ET
Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares Edge MSCI Min Vol USA ETF (USMV), where 16,200,000 units were destroyed, or a 5.1% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of USMV, in morning trading today Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) is up about 0.5%, and AT&T (T) is relatively unchanged.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the First Trust Materials AlphaDEX Fund (FXZ), which lost 2,150,000 of its units, representing a 22.4% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of FXZ, in morning trading today Westlake Chemical (WLK) is up about 3.1%, and Berry Plastics Group (BERY) is higher by about 0.7%.
