USMV, CXA: Big ETF Outflows Friday, August 19, 10:50 AM ET
Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares Edge MSCI Min Vol USA ETF (USMV), where 4,900,000 units were destroyed, or a 1.5% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of USMV, in morning trading today General Mills (GIS) is off about 0.1%, and AT&T (T) is lower by about 1.4%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the SPDR Nuveen Barclays California Municipal Bond ETF (CXA), which lost 1,400,000 of its units, representing a 23.3% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior.
