SPY, HEWU: Big ETF Inflows Tuesday, August 16, 10:47 AM ET
Comparing units outstanding versus one week ago at the coverage universe of ETFs at ETF Channel, the biggest inflow was seen in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY), which added 16,550,000 units, or a 1.8% increase week over week. Among the largest underlying components of SPY, in morning trading today Apple (AAPL) is up about 0.4%, and Microsoft (MSFT) is lower by about 1.1%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest increase in inflows was the iShares Currency Hedged MSCI United Kingdom ETF (HEWU), which added 650,000 units, for a 31.0% increase in outstanding units. Among the largest underlying components of HEWU, in morning trading today iShares MSCI United Kingdom Index (EWU) is up about 0.3%.
