Tuesday 5/31 Insider Buying Report: SFM, TEP Tuesday, May 31, 10:31 AM ET
Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned cash to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Thursday, Sprouts Farmers Market (SFM)'s Chief Financial Officer, Bradley Lukow, made a $251,543 purchase of SFM, buying 10,000 shares at a cost of $25.15 a piece. And at Tallgrass Energy Partners (TEP), there was insider buying on Thursday, by CEO David G. Dehaemers Jr. who purchased 5,300 shares at a cost of $45.11 each, for a trade totaling $239,083. Before this latest buy, Dehaemers Jr. purchased TEP at 4 other times during the past twelve months, for a total cost of $3.18M at an average of $44.02 per share.
