Tuesday 5/3 Insider Buying Report: BUSE, VIVO Tuesday, May 3, 10:31 AM ET
As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
At First Busey Corp (BUSE), a filing with the SEC revealed that on Monday, Director David J. Downey bought 7,500 shares of BUSE, for a cost of $20.60 each, for a total investment of $154,499. Downey was up about 3.2% on the buy at the high point of today's trading session, with BUSE trading as high as $21.25 at last check today. First Busey Corp is trading trading flat on the day Tuesday.
And on Friday, Director Catherine Sazdanoff purchased $147,844 worth of Meridian Bioscience (VIVO), purchasing 7,700 shares at a cost of $19.20 each. Meridian Bioscience is trading up about 0.8% on the day Tuesday.
