Monday 2/8 Insider Buying Report: DST, HEAR Monday, February 8, 10:36 AM ET
Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned cash to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
At DST Systems (DST), a filing with the SEC revealed that on Thursday, Charles E. Haldeman bought 5,000 shares of DST, at a cost of $103.38 each, for a total investment of $516,886. Bargain hunters can pick up DST at a price even lower than Haldeman did, with shares trading as low as $98.73 at last check today which is 4.5% below Haldeman's purchase price. DST Systems is trading off about 3.2% on the day Monday. Before this latest buy, Haldeman bought DST at 2 other times during the past year, for a total cost of $524,510 at an average of $104.90 per share.
And at Turtle Beach (HEAR), there was insider buying on Friday, by Revocable Living Trust, Dated 12/17/96, as Amended Doornink who purchased 500,000 shares at a cost of $1.00 each, for a total investment of $500,000. Turtle Beach is trading down about 5.9% on the day Monday.
