PID, FDM: Big ETF Outflows Thursday, December 31, 10:48 AM ET
Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the PowerShares International Dividend Achievers Portfolio (PID), where 3,750,000 units were destroyed, or a 6.1% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of PID, in morning trading today Amec Foster Wheeler (AMFW) is down about 1.1%, and Teekay LNG Partners LP (TGP) is lower by about 0.8%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the First Trust Dow Jones Select MicroCap Index Fund (FDM), which lost 1,000,000 of its units, representing a 39.9% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of FDM, in morning trading today Chimera Investment (CIM) is up about 0.2%, and Hersha Hospitality Trust (HT) is lower by about 1.1%.
