Friday 10/2 Insider Buying Report: AIR, TCAP Friday, October 2, 10:48 AM ET
Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned cash to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Wednesday, AAR Corp (AIR)'s Director, Marc Jay Walfish, made a $376,806 buy of AIR, purchasing 20,000 shares at a cost of $18.84 a piece. Walfish was up about 3.8% on the buy at the high point of today's trading session, with AIR trading as high as $19.55 in trading on Friday. AAR Corp is trading down about 0.3% on the day Friday.
And also on Wednesday, Director Simon B. Rich Jr. bought $242,505 worth of Triangle Capital Corporation (TCAP), buying 15,000 shares at a cost of $16.17 each. Before this latest buy, Rich Jr. purchased TCAP on 3 other occasions during the past twelve months, for a total investment of $280,305 at an average of $17.70 per share. Triangle Capital Corporation is trading down about 1.8% on the day Friday. So far Rich Jr. is in the green, up about 9.6% on their buy based on today's trading high of $17.72.
