Wednesday 7/29 Insider Buying Report: AAPL, ATI Wednesday, July 29, 10:47 AM ET
Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned cash to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
At Apple (AAPL), a filing with the SEC revealed that on Monday, Director Susan Wagner bought 3,800 shares of AAPL, at a cost of $123.49 each, for a total investment of $469,274. Apple is trading down about 0.8% on the day Wednesday. This purchase marks the first one filed by Wagner in the past year.
And at Allegheny Technologies (ATI), there was insider buying on Monday, by Director James E. Rohr who purchased 20,000 shares for a cost of $21.38 each, for a trade totaling $427,645. This purchase marks the first one filed by Rohr in the past year. Allegheny Technologies is trading up about 2.4% on the day Wednesday. So far Rohr is in the green, up about 5.1% on their buy based on today's trading high of $22.48.
