EFA, MLPX: Big ETF Outflows Thursday, July 9, 11:04 AM ET
Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF (EFA), where 13,200,000 units were destroyed, or a 1.4% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of EFA, in morning trading today Ryanair Holdings (RYAAY) is up about 1.6%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the MLP and Energy Infrastructure ETF (MLPX), which lost 3,700,000 of its units, representing a 32.3% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of MLPX, in morning trading today Antero Midstream Partners (AM) is up about 1.2%, and Boardwalk Pipeline Partners (BWP) is up by about 0.3%.
