XLY, SVXY: Big ETF Outflows Wednesday, June 3, 10:51 AM ET
Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY), where 3,350,000 units were destroyed, or a 2.4% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLY, in morning trading today The Walt Disney Company (DIS) is up about 0.5%, and Amazon.com (AMZN) is up by about 1.4%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the ProShares Short VIX Short-Term Futures ETF (SVXY), which lost 1,250,000 of its units, representing a 37.9% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior.
