Friday 5/1 Insider Buying Report: ASPS, CLFD Friday, May 1, 2:07 PM ET
As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Wednesday, Altisource Portfolio Solutions (ASPS)'s Chief Administration Officer, Kevin James Wilcox, made a $467,580 purchase of ASPS, buying 18,000 shares at a cost of $25.98 a piece. Altisource Portfolio Solutions is trading up about 10.2% on the day Friday.
And at Clearfield (CLFD), there was insider buying on Thursday, by Director Ronald G. Roth who bought 20,000 shares for a cost of $13.89 each, for a trade totaling $277,900. Before this latest buy, Roth bought CLFD at 4 other times during the past twelve months, for a total cost of $313,875 at an average of $13.36 per share. Clearfield is trading up about 2.5% on the day Friday.
