Thursday 4/16 Insider Buying Report: TSI, NXRT Thursday, April 16, 10:49 AM ET
As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Tuesday, TCW Strategic Income Fund (TSI)'s Portfolio Manager, Tad Rivelle, made a $54,326 buy of TSI, purchasing 10,079 shares at a cost of $5.39 each. So far Rivelle is in the green, up about 0.4% on their buy based on today's trading high of $5.41. Before this latest buy, Rivelle purchased TSI on 3 other occasions during the past twelve months, for a total investment of $293,806 at an average of $5.37 per share.
And on Monday, See Remarks Matt McGraner bought $9,688 worth of Nexpoint Residential Trust (NXRT), buying 700 shares at a cost of $13.84 each. Before this latest buy, McGraner made one other purchase in the past twelve months, buying $19,040 shares at a cost of $13.60 a piece. Nexpoint Residential Trust is trading up about 0.3% on the day Thursday.
