Friday 3/6 Insider Buying Report: CST, TROX Friday, March 6, 2:59 PM ET
Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned cash to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Thursday, CST Brands (CST)'s Director, Joseph V. Topper Jr., made a $422,335 buy of CST, purchasing 10,000 shares at a cost of $42.23 a piece. CST Brands is trading up about 0.2% on the day Friday.
And at Tronox (TROX), there was insider buying on Thursday, by Chairman, CEO Thomas Casey who bought 20,000 shares at a cost of $19.96 each, for a trade totaling $399,194. Before this latest buy, Casey made one other buy in the past year, purchasing $431,852 shares for a cost of $21.59 a piece. Tronox is trading trading flat on the day Friday. Casey was up about 3.0% on the purchase at the high point of today's trading session, with TROX trading as high as $20.56 in trading on Friday.
