Week Ahead Market Report: February 23, 2015 Monday, February 23, 1:55 PM ET
The Dow Jones Industrial Average, NASDAQ Composite, and S&P 500 are lower in afternoon trading on Monday. Some of the most actively traded stocks include Apple (AAPL) up 1.9%, Bank of America (BAC) down 1.3%, Home Loan Servicing (HLSS) up 9.4%, National Bank of Greece (NBG) down 1.5%, and Salix Pharmaceuticals (SLXP) down 1.25%.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was higher, up 0.73%, and the Hang Seng was up 0.02%. In Europe, the FTSE 100 was lower, down 0.04% and the German DAX was up by 0.73% today.
In economic news, Consumer Confidence is released tomorrow, New Home Sales on Wednesday, Initial Claims, CPI, and Durable Orders on Thursday, and GDP Estimate on Friday.
Some of the companies releasing earnings this week include: Comcast Corp (CMCSA) on Tuesday, Cablevision Systems (CVC) on Wednesday, 3D Systems (DDD) on Thursday, and CST Brands (CST) on Friday.
