Week Ahead Market Report: January 12, 2015 Monday, January 12, 4:06 PM ET
The Dow Jones Industrial Average, NASDAQ Composite, and S&P 500 are lower in afternoon trading on Monday. Some of the most actively traded stocks include NPS Pharmaceuticals (NPSP), up 8.2%, Bank of America (BAC) lower by 1.7%, Apple (AAPL) down 2.4%, Micron Technology (MU) down 5.6% and Cisco Systems (CSCO) up 0.8%.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was higher, up 0.18%, and the Hang Seng was higher, up 0.45%. In Europe, the FTSE 100 was slightly higher and the German DAX was higher by 1.38% today.
In economic news, Retail Sales, Import and Export Prices are released on Wednesday, Initial Claims and PPI on Thursday, and CPI on Friday.
Some of the companies releasing earnings this week include: KB Home (KBH) and CSX (CSX) on Tuesday, JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) and Wells Fargo (WFC) on Wednesday, Bank of America (BAC), Citigroup (C), Fastenal (FAST), Intel Corp (INTC), and Schlumberger (SLB) on Thursday, and Goldman Sachs Group (GS), PNC Financial Services Group (PNC), and SunTrust Banks (STI) on Friday.
