In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was higher, up 1.16%, and the Hang Seng was up 1.09%. In Europe, the FTSE 100 was higher by 0.55% and the German DAX was up 0.15% today.
In economic news, Consumer Credit is released on Tuesday, Initial Claims and Wholesale Inventories on Thursday, and Import/Export Prices on Friday.
Companies releasing earnings this week include: Yum! Brands (YUM) on Tuesday, Alcoa (AA) and Costco Wholesale (COST) on Wednesday, Family Dollar Stores (FDO) and PepsiCo (PEP) on Thursday, and Fastenal (FAST) on Friday.
