EZU, SAA: Big ETF Outflows Friday, September 16, 10:47 AM ET
Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares MSCI Eurozone ETF (EZU), where 8,900,000 units were destroyed, or a 3.7% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of EZU, in morning trading today NXP Semiconductors (NXPI) is down about 1.5%, and Aercap Holdings (AER) is lower by about 1.8%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the ProShares Ultra SmallCap600 (SAA), which lost 100,000 of its units, representing a 23.5% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of SAA, in morning trading today Piedmont Natural Gas Company (PNY) is down about 0.1%, and Take-two Interact Software (TTWO) is lower by about 1.4%.
