Friday 10/31 Insider Buying Report: FET, VCV Friday, October 31, 12:19 PM ET
As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Thursday, Forum Energy Technologies (FET)'s Director, Evelyn M. Angelle, made a $488,700 purchase of FET, buying 18,000 shares at a cost of $27.15 a piece. Forum Energy Technologies is trading up about 0.1% on the day Friday. This purchase marks the first one filed by Angelle in the past year.
And on Tuesday, Director Rodney F. Dammeyer bought $308,000 worth of Invesco Van Kampen California Value Municipal Income Trust (VCV), buying 25,000 shares at a cost of $12.32 a piece. Before this latest buy, Dammeyer purchased VCV at 2 other times during the past twelve months, for a total investment of $622,486 at an average of $12.35 per share. Invesco Van Kampen California Value Municipal Income Trust is trading trading flat on the day Friday.
