XLU, UYM: Big ETF Inflows Wednesday, September 3, 12:16 PM ET
Comparing units outstanding versus one week ago at the coverage universe of ETFs at ETF Channel, the biggest inflow was seen in the Utilities Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLU), which added 7,900,000 units, or a 6.1% increase week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLU, in morning trading today Duke Energy (DUK) is up about 0.8%, and Nextera Energy (NEE) is up by about 0.8%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest increase in inflows was the Proshares Ultra Basic Materials (UYM), which added 750,000 units, for a 37.0% increase in outstanding units. Among the largest underlying components of UYM, in morning trading today Air Products & Chemicals (APD) is up about 0.5%, and Airgas (ARG) is up by about 0.2%.
