XLP, QQQE: Big ETF Outflows Wednesday, July 2, 12:16 PM ET
Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP), where 4,950,000 units were destroyed, or a 3.1% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLP, in morning trading today Procter & Gamble (PG) is up about 0.5%, and Coca Cola (KO) is lower by about 0.1%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the Direxion NASDAQ-100 Equal Weighted Index Shares (QQQE), which lost 50,000 of its units, representing a 16.7% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of QQQE, in morning trading today Activision Blizzard (ATVI) is off about 0.4%, and Adobe Systems (ADBE) is lower by about 0.1%.
